How To Swap Crypto-to-Crypto On Breet
Updated over a week ago

Breet allows you to swap one cryptocurrency for another; with over 170 cryptocurrencies available, you can never get enough πŸ˜€.

Here's an easy 5-step guide on how you can exchange crypto-to-crypto on Breet.

  1. Pick your cryptocurrencies

  2. Enter the destination/recipient address

  3. Confirm the transaction

  4. Make a deposit

  5. Wait to receive your coin

Step 1. Pick Your Cryptocurrencies

Go to Breet and select the cryptocurrencies you want to exchange. For example, if you want to exchange Ethereum for Bitcoin, select those two currencies and enter the amount of Ethereum you want to exchange. We will show you how much Bitcoin you'll get in return. Once you're ready, click the "Proceed" button.

You can choose either the FIXED or FLOATING exchange rate. Fixed means you will get exactly the amount of Bitcoin you see. Floating means what you will receive might be more or less than what you see, depending on the exchange rate at the time your deposit is received.

Step 2. Enter The Destination/Recipient Address

Next, enter the address you want to receive the coin. In this case (ETH to BTC), you are expected to enter your Bitcoin wallet address. If you don't have a Bitcoin wallet yet, you can choose to create one.

You can also scan a wallet QR code or use Breet's wallet address (if the coin is supported on Breet's crypto-to-cash channel). Understand that any crypto received to your Breet's address will be converted to fiat automatically.

Be careful not to provide the wrong address. We do our best to verify address validity against the cryptocurrency selected.

Step 3. Confirm The Transaction Details

Double-check all the information you entered, and if everything is correct, click the "Finish Exchange" button. Doing this will initiate an exchange process, and we expect a deposit from your end.

NOTE: If the exchange mode is FIXED, you're expected to send the deposit within a short period of time unless the exchange will expire. If the exchange mode is FLOATING, the sooner you send a deposit, the higher the chance of receiving the expected amount.

Step 4. Make The Deposit

By now, the status of the exchange will be "Awaiting Deposit". After confirming your transaction details, send the Ethereum you want to exchange to the address Breet generates. You can also scan the QR code.

Be sure to send the exact amount expected so the exchange can be processed seamlessly. That means if you're expected to send 0.1 ETH, ensure that you send 0.1 ETH.

Also, ensure that you don't send the wrong cryptocurrency or token to the provided address.

Step 4. Wait To Receive Your Coin

Once the deposit is spotted on the crypto network, the status will automatically change to "Confirming Deposit"; it usually takes a few minutes. At this point, the countdown timer will stop (if the exchange mode is fixed).

Once the deposit is confirmed, the status will then change to 'Exchanging', then to 'Sending', and finally to 'Finished'.

Once it's finished, it means the cryptocurrency has been sent to the recipient's address.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • If no deposit is received from you, the exchange will automatically expire after some time.

  • If you send cryptocurrency to an expired exchange, feel free to contact us so we can manually process the exchange.

  • If you send the wrong cryptocurrency or token, we might not be able to refund it.
